"My husband and I noticed that our 3 year old daughter was having trouble with articulation and fluency. We consulted many for a pediatric speech therapist and West Essex Speech and Language came highly recommended.
September 2012 was our first meeting with Liz. From the start, we knew Liz was the perfect fit for our daughter. She is encouraging, flexible and has a creative attitude/approach towards treatment. Most importantly, she knew when and how to draw the line when my daughter wanted to test and push the barriers of learning.
As time passed, our daughter's speech evolved way above our hopes and dreams as parents. Than at this point, Liz consulted us about our daughter's inability to process information and how to properly blend sounds. Now with our daughter in Kindergarten, we needed to act fast to develop a treatment plan. She consulted us on the proper steps to take with our school district as she continued to work with our daughter.
Now our daughter is in first grade, her ability to speak, spell and read surpasses her classmates. We could have never thought we could meet a therapist that cared so much for her patients and their families. She went way above and beyond to meet my child's developmental goals. We could not be any happier that our daughter was under her therapeutic "wings".
Thank you for giving our daughter the gift of language!"

"Dear Liz,
I can't thank you enough for teaching my daughter to find her voice. I am forever grateful for all of your time, hard work and patience while working with N. You are an amazing speech therapist and your work changes lives. We will miss you!"

"Both of my boys have worked with Liz, and to say the results were outstanding is an understatement. Liz, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, made learning and overcoming language disorders fun and exciting. Both children were always so happy when it was a "Miss Liz day." Not only is Liz wonderful with the children, she is equally great with the parents. She always found time to discuss any issues and explain what I could be doing at home to help my child. I could not have been more pleased."

"My son Jack developed a severe stutter when he was 4 years old. After a long and frustrating search to find a therapist who could treat Jack----we found "Miss Liz"!!! She impressed me with her vast knowledge of early childhood stuttering and her expertise in administering the Lidcome Program, which is a highly specialized program that is used to treat very young children who stutter. For the first time I had some hope that I found the right therapist! After a year of intensive therapy, Jack's stutter became almost non-existent. His fluency improved tremendously and this increased his confidence. Jack is now a happy and healthy 7 year old."

"As the Director of The First Presbyterian Church Weekday Nursery School, a NAEYC accredited preschool, we continually seek the best experiences for our preschool students. Whether it is art, movement, science or math we offer only the best to our early learners. As I listened to my parents ask with much concern, “What do you think about my child’s speech?” I knew then it was time to collaborate with a quality professional in the field of speech and language. Liz Giuffrida, Director of West Essex Speech-Language Associates, came highly recommended from many sources in the West Essex area. With this partnership and our assigned speech therapist, Treesh, we are helping our young children not only improve their speech and communication skills, but as a team, we are building our children’s self-esteem, which is the foundation of future learning. Thank you, Liz and Treesh."

My husband and I will never be able to say enough positive things about Liz. When we first met with her, our daughter (21 months old) was barely even making sounds in response to our attempts to elicit a simple first word. Throughout our sessions, we learned strategies to work on at home and were given weekly "homework assignments" that coincided with that week's treatment. Within just a couple of weeks we noticed a huge improvement in her speech and communication skills.
Liz is friendly, engaging, caring, and easily makes connections with her students and their families. Our daughter was always so excited to go to "Liz's house". We drove almost 50 minutes every week for treatment because she is THAT outstanding.
Our daughter is now 26 months old and has exceeded all expectations. I am constantly singing her praises when people comment on how well our daughter speaks. Liz has completely changed our lives and we will be forever grateful for her and all she has done for our family.

"It is difficult to articulate how truly thankful we are for all that you have done for Noah. I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by and what a tremendous improvement Noah has made in use the last couple of months. Don't think you've heard the last of us…I have you on speed dial should anything come up that I need your sound advice on."
Many, Many thanks,
Cara and Dan
